The Tuition Fee Guarantee is a financial assurance offered to eligible graduates of the Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) and Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs. This policy outlines the terms and conditions that participants must meet in order to maintain eligibility for the Tuition Fee Guarantee within six (6) months of graduation.
Note: This policy applies to all students, including international, domestic, and onshore graduates of the CCA and ECE programs.
Maintain a minimum attendance rate of 95% throughout the entire program (classroom instruction). Maintained 100% attendance in all practicum placements.
Achieve a final grade of 75% or higher in all academic and practical components of the program.
Obtain satisfactory performance evaluations from all practicum placement providers, demonstrating competency and professionalism in applied roles within the program.
Display respectful and professional behaviour when interacting with diverse ethnic backgrounds, genders, and sexes, as assessed by instructors, peers, and practicum supervisors.
Participants must actively engage with OICC Career Services throughout the 6-month post-graduation period or until a job offer is received. This includes: Attending job readiness and skill building workshops, participating in one-on-one sessions for resume development and interview preparation, maintaining regular communication with career advisors.
It is the responsibility of the college to conduct monthly check-ins with each graduate during the 6-month eligibility period to offer support, track progress, and ensure continued engagement in the job search process.
Demonstrate a clear and consistent commitment to pursuing employment as either a Continuing Care Assistant or Early Childhood Educator (depending on the program graduated from), as evidenced by active job searching and employer engagement.
If applicable (i.e., in the case of the Continuing Care Assistant), successfully pass the Nova Scotia provincial licensing exam, with up to three (3) attempts allowed within the 6-month eligibility window.
Ineligibility Clause: Any participant who receives a formal job offer as a Continuing Care Assistant or Early Childhood Educator within the 6-month eligibility period is no longer eligible for the Tuition Fee Guarantee.

Participants can apply for a refund after the 6-month period. They can submit the refund within the first 14 days of the first month after the 6-month period.
